In recent years, the mobile phone market has been accompanied by a significant price increase, so large parts of society have lost the ability to buy flagship mobile phones, and the purchase criteria in this market have undergone many changes. While in the past “brand” was the most important criterion for buying a mobile phone, now “price” has become the most important and effective indicator for choosing a mobile phone.

A review and analysis of market data in 2022 show that cheap Chinese brands have enjoyed a better position in the Iranian market. The Apple brand has seen a significant drop in its market share in Iran; The share of this brand has decreased to 3% based on the statistics of “purchases of January and March in 2022”. Meanwhile, the position of low-cost brands such as Nokia has improved and accounted for 14% of purchases in the first two months of this year (April and May).

  • The size of internal storage (the most important factor for 7% of buyers and one of the three important factors for 37% of them)
  • Design (the most important factor for 3% of buyers and one of the three most important factors for 35% of them)
  • Guaranty or after-sales service (the most important factor for 2% of buyers and one of the three most important factors for 21% of them)
  • Screen size (the most important factor for 2% of buyers and among the three most important factors for 26% of them)
